With the release of the new Hero Factory theme, I decided to review my favourite of these sets…the evil villain, Von Nebula.
Von Nebula is the leader of the Villains. Featuring spikey armour on his shoulders, and a fearsome staff, this model really does look the part. It is pretty well built and sturdy. The only thing that lets that down is the neck, which can be modified by using a blue +/0 peg in the second + hole and transferring the head to the second peg. Annoying I know, but it is possible to fix the problem.
The overall model itself looks amazing. Von Nebula is a fantastic black and blue combination which suits the character well. Standing over 22cm tall, he towers above the Heroes (and the other Villains for that matter).
Finally, the blades on the staff spin, creating a weapon fit for the leader of the Villains.

With the recent release of the new Hero Factory theme, I decided that to review one of the sets from this successor to Bionicle. The set I have chosen is the fantastic figure of William Furno.
William Furno is one of the Heroes in Hero Factory. His bright-red and orange colouring reflects on his name (William FURNO – as in inFURNO), and as the name suggests, his special attack is to torch his enemies with flames of fury from his dual fire shooter.
This set includes brand new pieces and is incredibly sturdy, which is brilliant for a figure that is likely to be played with often. He also wears a pretty cool looking helmet and is well-armoured, and also carries the previously mentioned dual fire shooter.
William Furno (7167) is definitely not to be missed, and is sure to be another favourite for fans of Bionicle.

Well, here we have another brand new theme to the world of LEGO. Hero Factory has arrived!
Hero Factory is the successor to “Bionicle” and is based around the fictional Makuhero City with Assembly Tower being the City’s main building. This tower constructs various robot heroes which are sent out when the call center receives calls from victims. Once constructed, the robots are placed in special hero pods and beamed across the galaxy and across time to defeat evil and solve their various missions.
The heroes all have surnames, with names like William Furno, Natalie Breez, and Duncan Bulk.
There is also an upcoming special edition set to be released at a later point called Bulk and Vapour.
The characters themselves look very much like the characters featured in Bionicle, and the concept of the theme is very similar.

Later this year there is to be another theme of LEGO sets available on shelves worldwide…..Hero Factory! They are a new range of robot figures to be built.
Hero Factory is the successor to Bionicle, and looks to be somehow related as some of the boxes have “Bionicle” written on them. The figures when built look very much like the Bionicle figures, and appear to be very detailed.
In Hero Factory there are both good and evil robotic figures. The “Heroes” are said to be a product of tireless work from design experts and robotic construction specialists. Once constructed they are beamed across the galaxy to fight evil and solve their mission.
Here’s a full list of the sets coming out around August/September this year:
