in 2005 that was the best thing but in 2012 people would say you could actully build itout of scratch.do NOTget this /get the 2010 fire station the previous one to this day.it has much more detail and it much more worth your money

Really good set. The wheels turn VERY well, and the crane has great size and works smoothly. Took me a couple of nights to built and really enjoyed it. $100 for 1000 pieces... not bad.
Totally recommended. I did not try any motors (sold separately).
I do not like the fact that you have to download the instructions for the second model. Especially in this case because I actually like it better than the main model. But other than that, I am pretty happy with this set. I really like the tractor. Lots of detail and sturdy.
I give it 4 starts. I recommend it.
Pros:
-Pneumatics. Not many sets have them, I like how they work.
Cons:
-It is a bit expensive when compared with other sets. Just do the math price/number of pieces.
-The tractor is way to simple. A bit more of detail could haven been added
I personally think it cannot compare to set 8063, which I liked a lot. Since they are pretty close on price, I would go for 8063 first for sure (as I did). In the end, you probably would not resist anyways and buy this set... In the end, it is pretty cool too!
