My 8 year old picked this out and saved money to buy it. It’s pricey, but a great product. He loved building it and is proudly displaying it. It has doors that open and close and people and extra little accessories. My son can still play with it, and it stays intact. I shopped around, and Amazon had the best price.

I gave this to my son for his 6th Birthday – He had been asking for it since last summer. It keeps him so busy and quiet – the instructions were great – he didn’t need any help. He keeps taking it apart and modifying the design to make it smaller, and smaller, and smaller. Then he builds it back to the origianl size. He has had it for 3 weeks and still thanks me for getting it for him.
Beacause of the size, he doesn’t rush through it and toss it aside like his many other smaller lego sets.
Highly recommend it – wish I got it sooner!

Lego is a great product, unfortunately this one’s just a little too ambitious. My son fell in love with this and begged for it for Chanukah, but once we got it put together it wouldn’t stay together to play with. It’s great to make smaller planes with, but the original plane just fell apart under it’s own weight.

It didn’t take long to assemble this with my children. They were very excited about helping.The instructions were very clear. TIP: Just double check their work as they complete each stage, or you’ll end up undoing and redoing it. Plus press the pieces together firmly when in place.
This was a fantastic buy for my son. He adores it. Has spent hours and hours playing. The little trolley cart and wine glasses are cute. The whole top can come off for easy play. Then it simply clicks back on for flying!
Most of the time the top is off though. A great buy!

I have 3 boys and have bought a lot of toys over the years (including many Lego items) but this has to rank as one of the worst ever. There was no possibility of my 6 year old could build this and I think a twelve year old would have to be a child engineering prodigy to manage it. It took me 2-3 hours to build for my son who broke it in 30 seconds. He’s not a destructive child but it’s impossible to play with it or do anything with it without numerous parts dropping off. Fine as a model to look at but not a toy I would recommend for any child. Particularly unsuitable for younger children.

only rated as 4 star cause it is a bit expensive for what you get. When i bought mine i got a free fire truck, i didnt by from amazon but i wish i did cause later found you were cheaper than ‘argos’. took me one hour to build, as text and images in a step by step way to build, i found it fun to build. now it lives under the bed but i like planes and stuff so im glad i bought it, but i have not wear to put it cause it is so big when i made it. Great choice, im thinking about buying the airport to….

Despite the previous reviewer finding that their 6 year-old found this too difficult, my 6 year-old finished in just about 3 hours with NO help from me, and no tears from him – Result!
It is very large when finished though, so we’ll see how long it stays in one piece – but that’s part of the fun of lego – re-building things.
My only real disappointment was NOT being able (or wanted!) to help him – for me, quality time helping him work things out increases the value of toys like lego.

I got this plane for christmas two years ago and played with it so much. I loved it. My sister put all of the passengers into her Krusty Krab. The reason I didn’t give it five stars was because i lost the one little piece that held the door on and it never worked again. I found the piece later on, the the plane was already in pieces mixed in with a large bucket of other pieces. Since then the plane has been no use. It is very fun but you have to keep track of every single part or else it will stink.
