Danger! Thunder is wreaking havoc in the metropolis! Von Nebula’s toughest servant is squashing everything in his way. He is considered heavily armed and highly dangerous. Keep clear of his Meteor Blaster and massive crush claw. If you get close enough to see him grin, it might be too late!

Thunder has the best “hand” ever. It’s a massive claw with hinged joints to close around your other toys. Granted there aren’t any rubber bands in play, so they are just loose. Poseable at best, but still awesome! His other arm is a ball shooter, but you can reconfigure the spare blade-like piece on his left arm to be the extra “hand.” Gives him a crab like appearance.

Thunder’s helmet is well designed too. A reviewer on [...] said he looks like a grumpy old man. I now see this with his extended, square jawline (think UP). The helmet also looks great inverted, so flip it upside down for a different look that still fits the model.

Great kit pieces for your other models. I’ve already used his arms for something else. Highly recommended pick-up for only 12-13 dollars!

Durability. I believe the HF parts are stronger. LEGO may have changed their compound as the joints (ball and socket type) seem to flex more. The old bionicle joints on my older models are harder and have no give and a couple of sockets have even snapped off. I’m really careful, so it’s not operator error. Just a hunch on the compound thing. See for yourself.

*I really like the direction LEGO is going with Hero Factory. Their Villains are very well designed and are more like the later bionicle models that stood about 8″ tall. I’ll be going after Meltdown next.
